Who pays us

This site is free to use and carries no advertising. Here is how we expect to earn money, and what no customer can touch.

Organisations that licence our data. We licence de-identified cost data, built from quotes users have agreed to share, to insurers, lenders, property and strata firms, councils, researchers and AI companies. These licences are a main source of our income. Three rules apply to every one of them: the data never identifies a person or a tradie; no licensee can influence the prices, ranges or labels you see on this site; and no licensee gets exclusive access. We publish the categories of licensee here and update this page when a new category is added. We do not publish individual customer names unless they agree to it.
